Communication in a pint

I speak about communication in general and/or communication in multicultural environments. My approach is based on the education I have (Bachelor in Media and Communication, Masters in Peace and Conflict Transformation, and a specialization within psychoanalysis and gestalt therapy) and the practical experience I have as a journalist and gestalt therapist. My starting point is that we are all human beings and we are communicating with that experience first no matter where we come from.

Quarantine Concerts: What aspects of virtual concerts lead to social connectedness?

Government responses to the coronavirus led to unprecedented social distancing measures across the world, but musicians adapted rapidly by performing online. Anecdotally, viewers commented that virtual concerts made them feel socially connected despite the restrictions and the technologically mediated interactions. However, the aspects of what promote togetherness in a virtual concert remain unknown. We used an extensive online survey to ask what aspects of the concert experience and personal characteristics make people feel socially connected and moved. This research addresses the topical question of how people can feel socially connected in a time of social distancing.
